Hi

Why compile a DB into a cpp project? Why not put things into a txt file 
like for instance the pci-id database project. This would mean more 
flexibility and sticking to packaged versions of distros and thus 
maintaining package maintenance control yet would enable database upgrades.

guess this is a FAQ one, but could not find it as such.
