Hi Giorgio, I know this sounds a bit obvious, but have you tried looking in the logs?
SMF logs are in /var/svc/log/MANGLED-SERVICE-NAME.log. Since these logs contain the output of the method script being run by SMF, any debugging output you add to your start script will end up in this log file.
