Hi, I have OpenBSD KVM running on SmartOS. I've used KVM to do the installation, but changed kernel output to virtual COM0 afterwards and also enabled login on that virtual serial port like this:
# cat /etc/boot.conf stty com0 9600 set tty com0 # enable login and root login in /etc/ttys for tty00 tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt220 on secure Hope this helps, Jan On Wed, Jun 24, 2015 at 05:57:47PM +0000, G B via smartos-discuss wrote: > This may be a dumb question... > I am running OpenSMTPD on OpenBSD in a KVM and during the installation and > when I want to check anything on the server, I use vncviewer. > For SmartOS zones I use 'zlogin UUID', so is there a way to access the > console from my Dell server for this KVM during installation and daily from > the host instead of having to use vncviewer? -- Be the change you want to see in the world. ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
