installation, but changed kernel output to virtual COM0 afterwards and
also enabled login on that virtual serial port like this:
# cat /etc/boot.conf
stty com0 9600
set tty com0
# enable login and root login in /etc/ttys for tty00
tty00 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt220 on secure
