Thanks for the update. It turns out that there is an open-source branch of the
VMWare tools at
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-vm-tools/>
that includes the VMXNET3 driver for Solaris, and there was mention of fixing
an issue with Illumos in 2011. Have you looked at that recently? If not, I’ll
give it a try.
