Thanks for that list Keith (http://eng.joyent.com/manufacturing). For everyone who hasn't read it yet I do recommend you to do so. I'm guessing joyent has gone through a huge amount of different vendors before deciding on these documented part numbers.
What I notice though is that joyent doesnt seem to use any L2ARC ssd's. Is this true ? And if so, why? My guess is that all their systems always have enough ram to make any L2ARC negligible and therefore unnecessary. Please correct me if I am wrong and especially if joyent does use l2arc SSD's.
