Sure, I wasn't planning on using RAID anyway but JBOD. > Finally, on a non-storage-related note, if you ignore all of that and go > to buy this anyway, be sure you're not getting any Broadcom Ethernet > NICs; many of the models being sold today are either entirely > unsupported (i.e., don't have a driver at all) or have significant > problems. You really want Intel, preferably i350 and/or 82599. Alright noted thanks. I think I will go with it but I will changed the controller to one that can do JBOD (probably P822) and switch broadcom for intel for the net chips. Thanks a lot to all that answered to this thread, I got unvaluable feedback and that was much appreciated :-) -- Antoine ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
