We know about that, but Apache has made the event MPM the default some time ago for better performance, which means PHP would have to be compiled with thread support. However, threaded PHP is still regarded as experimental and not intended for production support (and not much progress on that front in the past years, as far as I can see). So we kept the default MPM to align with upstream choice and what people not interested in PHP will probably want anyway, and for mod_php you should switch to prefork. Have you looked at PHP/FPM? It’s becoming the preferred way to deploy PHP these days, and avoids the problem altogether. > Also, now that 2014Q2 is out, how soon after are standard+base upgraded with > this new set? base-14.2.0 should go out next week most likely and standard to follow. Just needs to pass all tests etc. -F ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
