4TB disks in SAS or SATA? (there are no SAS 4TB drives afaik) How big is the storage that you REALLY need to serve this high read/write speeds to? Is it database data? Is it memory based storage (java cache? ) https://jsfiddle.net/Biduleohm/paq5u7z5/1/embedded/result/ can help you decide how much storage space you will have in different configurations.

Well. The idea is a server with 256GB of RAM and 36x4TB disks, and some SSD as needed. It will be used for various purposes, but my achievement is to have a good speed talking about disk access (read/write).
