I see clang is no longer available in 2016Q1, is this by design or omission?
2016Q1 updated to clang 3.8.0 which has significant changes over
3.7.0, and I've not had time yet to port forward the large number of
patches required to get it working on illumos. I'm also somewhat wary
of having to do it all over again the next time they make large
internal changes.

Is there anything you specifically need clang for? Realistically it's
going to be a long time before it reaches parity with GCC for illumos
support, and we certainly have no plans to use it by default.

I have some client code that is built with clang on Linux and I was looking at building it natively on Illumos or Solaris.

I can use an LX zone on SmartOS, so I'll just speed up converting Solaris boxes to SmartOS :)

Cheers,
