I don't have any c612 based systems, but I do have a Z170, which is also USB3 only, down on the (build) farm.
We first tried USB keyboard and mouse - but we get identical behaviour With IPMI. I have been turning off advanced features to see if this makes a difference.
That's worrying as I have a Supermicro X10 board on my shopping list, please post any results.
