Hi Ian,

You can still purchase your new toy. It is the USB 3 on the new server
causing drama.

It seems that merely disabling the USB 3 in the Bios is not the only
fix required. It needs to be done in conjunction with the Xhci eXtensible
Host Controller 
Interface (xHCI).

We installed an optical drive and boot from there and installed using IPMI.

From there is was a relative doddle.
