No, unfortunately. Intel's words on the subject are that the bios emulates keyboard/mouse until it "detects that the OS's USB drivers have loaded" at which point it hands over control. I tried building SmartOS with all the USB support removed but it proved to be a non-trivial exercise.

I'm not *married* to this particular piece of hardware but I think it would make such a great small server - and costs the same as 2 months AWS with the same spec. I may have to get over it
