So now we need LX zones. (Hooray for changing requirements!) Anyone else seen really long logins for zlogin?
On Debian/Ubuntu LX images, zlogin will immediately display the "[Connected to zone 'UUID']" message, then take about 11 seconds before displaying "last login" and the Joyent Logo banner, then another 30 seconds before displaying the shell prompt. "exit" takes about 10 seconds. zlogin -C is instant. (Minus the CR to get the login prompt to display) ssh logins are quite speedy, as are zlogins to native zones. I've run into Ubuntu being very DNS sensitive (was on Hyper-V), and am aware that the LX guest script doesn't do much with config, so yes, hostname, hosts file and dns for the NIC are configured properly. (Primary DHCP from a local PFSense, secondary is 8.8.8.8) ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
