‘diskinfo’ shows both disks as being 2TB.

I think the problem is related to how I am accessing the disks. This is a
s/h Dell T310 that’s fitted with a PERC 6/i.

There doesn’t seem to be any way to disable the PERC so I set it up to see
each disk in its own array of one disk. Smartos then sees the disks as two
separate disks and I was able to get going.

 I'd also confirm what size diskinfo sees with it.
