This has been discussed before by Jorge Schrauwen and others and it would be a great addition to SmartOS. From the technical point of view is there any particular limitation that prevents the use of docker V2 repositories/images? or is it purely because of the lack of developers and resources? Or the fact that it works on Triton makes it look unimportant?
