I’d recommend Tribblix if you want something more like legacy Solaris 10.
I believe other 32-bit users exist on the Tribblix platform.

HOWEVER, be advised that 32-bit x86 is dead-end, even where illumos is
concerned.  An RTI is currently pending to rip out 32-bit support, as its
basically reaching the point of not being supportable.

(There are quite a few things that are “unique” to the 32-bit x86
architecture, significant kernel baggage, that “we”, the illumos
developers, would like to see removed.  Furthermore, there is some evidence
that breakage exists with current builds and 32-bit kernels.)
