I’d recommend Tribblix if you want something more like legacy Solaris 10. I believe other 32-bit users exist on the Tribblix platform.
HOWEVER, be advised that 32-bit x86 is dead-end, even where illumos is concerned. An RTI is currently pending to rip out 32-bit support, as its basically reaching the point of not being supportable. (There are quite a few things that are “unique” to the 32-bit x86 architecture, significant kernel baggage, that “we”, the illumos developers, would like to see removed. Furthermore, there is some evidence that breakage exists with current builds and 32-bit kernels.) - Garrett On Mon, Jan 22, 2018 at 10:09 AM Chuck Barker <[email protected]> wrote: > "Having pain that is felt by many others is more likely to lead to timely >> resolution of problems." >> > > Wise words for many occasions. > > > Chuck > > On Mon, Jan 22, 2018 at 11:11 AM, Mike Gerdts <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> On Mon, Jan 22, 2018 at 5:52 AM, a b <[email protected]> wrote: >> >>> Apologies if this has been asked before, in which case I >>> will be grateful to be pointed to the documentation to go >>> read. >>> >>> I have a perfectly good, last generation Pentium 4 server at >>> 3.2 GHz which currently runs Solaris 10 GA (01/2006).
