Hi,

I used to run 20160330T234717Z on two Dell R710 chassis without problems for
years but since recently
the fibre channel drivers were added to the smartos release I decided to
upgrade. However networking does
not work with the new version. Zero bytes are transferred in the link after
kernel is booted while I just PXE
booted from the same interface.

dladm show-phys shows the links just down:

LINK MEDIA STATE SPEED DUPLEX DEVICE
bnx0 Ethernet down 0 half bnx0
bnx1 Ethernet down 0 half bnx1
bnx2 Ethernet down 0 half bnx2
bnx3 Ethernet down 0 half bnx3

there is no config changes in-between, I just PXE boot boot_archive from
release 20180203T031130Z,
instead of 20160330T234717Z. After booting the older release networking again
works without problems.

I tried to force bnx0 to 1000/fdx but that had no effect.

Any ideas?
Sami
