well, i think we are not talking about the same things anymore. but since you generously created the empty package, i rest my case.
I don't see how Debian could ship a working setup without depending on the fso-sounds virtual package. Remember that recommended are not installed by default on Debian on the FR.
just for clearness' sake: virtual means there has to be at least one package that defines "Provides: <insertnameofvirtualpackagehere>", right?
