They're delegating the dbus side of things to geoclue [1]. Geoclue have a 'provider' for gpsd [2] that probably provides the bridge we want already. We still have the Usage daemon handling power state, so all we really need is to get almanac/ephemeris handling into gpsd. Is there a compelling reason to roll our own rather than work with these projects?
