I want that to the extent that I have on occasion written scripts (disturbingly, init.d scripts, though they should probably have been services) which ran at boot and enabled various things, to achieve this. I considered writing some table-driven thing which would allow me to have a whole bunch of commands like nbsvcs and nbsvcadm which would let me alter and enquire about the state of the machine at next boot, but I considered that would have been just too perverse, since obviously it would appear in the next release anyway. (I also really, really want user-defined SMF snapshots as does everyone else I've spoken to.) --tim
