Agreed. Some have argued that "start" as a top level verb (aliased to "enable -st" or not) is actually dangerous. Maybe, if this is all it will be, the proposal should be dropped and you can open an RFE for what you are wanting, and that can be argued on its own grounds rather than be tied in to a somewhat different (the start/stop) issue.
