<p>i have an SMF service that frequently enters the "maintenance" mode and i only indirectly discover that this has occurred, often far too long after the service goes down.</p>
<p>i looked around for some info on how to get such service state change notifications, but unfortunately only came across the following FAQ entry:</p> <blockquote>2.8.
