Renaud,

Karl did a

    svcadm refresh svc:/application/SUNWappserver/domain1:default

and got rid of the dependency. I replied to him earlier but did not use 
reply all by mistake. I should have re-sent the reply when I realized my 
mistake. I am quoting it below.
