I have just tried that, it give me even more error they all like to be
with speedy. What is the best way to uninstall and then do a clean
install??

If I was you, I'd grab the tar.gz from "http://daemoninc.com/speedycgi/";
and 
install from there. There may be differences in Redhat packages from 7.3
to 
8.0. I am running 7.2 here with SpeedyCGI installed from the tar.gz and
it 
works a treat.

Missing the ".packlist" file should not cause it to not work as the
contents 
of it simply state where the 2 executables are installed and where the
.pm 
perl module resides.

Try installing from the source and you should be sorted out. It's pretty

straight forward to install, from memory its just "./configure ; make ;
make 
install".
