Just tried what you said, and when I do the following I get an error:-

Make test

Get error on t/hold_stdio.t will this cause a problem when I install
it??

Well, I guess the best way to remove the previous version is simply to
remove 
the 3 files from command line by hand.

pc-linux% /bin/rm /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/CGI/SpeedyCGI.pm 
/usr/bin/speedy*
--

Then do your "make install" from the tarball.
