Hi, New user running Smokeping on Mandrake 10. I have the CiscoRTTMonEchoICMP probe installed. Unfortunately it is returning data (oddly enough, with variance and jitter) for a target host which I know (and have tested) is down. I suspect it is simply returning the delay in fetching the SNMP probe itself, and not the underlying datavalue for the target RTT.
Can anyone help me to debug this? I like the tool, but it's reputation is tarnished if I can't trust the data. Here's my probe conf: +++ CiscoProbe menu = GoofyGW ++++ GoofyGW menu = Goofy->Donald title = RTTMon ping from Goofy Router to Donald Gateway host = 192.168.1.1 +++++ PROBE_CONF ioshost = [EMAIL PROTECTED] packetsize = 64 tos = 160 names, addresses, etc are bogus. The Cisco is running a late 12.3T release with SAA enabled. Now, I have two probes that were configured from CLI if that has any bearing. For grins, I firewalled the ioshost to make sure that's where the data was coming from and it stopped at the right time.
