Nevermind... I think I forgot to specify "probe=CiscoRTTMonEchoICMP" so it was probably just doing the default fping locally instead of getting data from the Cisco.
The documentation on the Probes isn't real clear (to me) on how to configure for multiple probe types with a single menu. Does "probe=" have meaning only at a particular level, or does it over-ride whatever might be earlier in the config? I have the CiscoRTTMonEchoICMP probe installed. Unfortunately it is returning data (oddly enough, with variance and jitter) for a target host which I know (and have tested) is down. I suspect it is simply returning the delay in fetching the SNMP probe itself, and not the underlying datavalue for the target RTT. Can anyone help me to debug this? I like the tool, but it's reputation is tarnished if I can't trust the data. Here's my probe conf: +++ CiscoProbe menu = GoofyGW ++++ GoofyGW menu = Goofy->Donald title = RTTMon ping from Goofy Router to Donald Gateway host = 192.168.1.1 +++++ PROBE_CONF ioshost = [EMAIL PROTECTED] packetsize = 64 tos = 160 names, addresses, etc are bogus. The Cisco is running a late 12.3T release with SAA enabled. Now, I have two probes that were configured from CLI if that has any bearing. For grins, I firewalled the ioshost to make sure that's where the data was coming from and it stopped at the right time.
