Yes, you are right in that.
At some point, SMSLib was set to automatically detect (reflection) the
installed comm library (i.e. JavaComm or RxTx). This was done to make
the installation easier and independent of the comm library used (no
source code mods needed). But, somewhere down the reflection code,
these nice messages got lost...
