I use Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.7 with a MultiModemGPRS F4 USB and it work grate.

Hi,

No experience with Macs, however don't rule out IP modems. I.e. modems
that don't use the serial or usb ports but a direct IP connection with
the PC.

I don't have experience with Multitech either - this is just an
example.
