Btw, I'm using a Huawei E176.. Could you please tell me how long does it take you to initialize the service (Service.getInstance().startService();)?
Here I timed how long the startService takes before I get the STARTED status from the gateway. Using javacomm (32bit): 20s Using rxtx (64bit): 40s I think that even the javacomm is taking too long for the initialization. Any hint?
