It works for me to. if you are receiving 'smug group' emails are they coming from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>? If not then you need to sign in to the group using your Google account details (Google mail address and password). If you have signed in and can access the Sussex Mac User Group you should have an 'Edit my membership' link on the right hand side which allows you to change the settings, go to this URL to see what I mean;
