As I discovered yesterday one needs to sign in with whatever account one sends/receives emails from SMUG. I did this (having previously signed in with my gmail address - erroneously as is now obvious to me) and had to set up a new password which eventually took me to a screen with all the email/digest options (they were on the left for me).
