Personally I would upgrade. I run Tiger at work and Leopard at home and 
I'm finding more and more software which is Leopard only which is 
getting a bit frustrating. The Time Machine backup is also really good 
and easy to use if you're a lazy backup person like me!

Upgrading is pretty straight forward. Put the disk in, follow the on 
screen instruction and leave it to do its thing. Shouldn't take more 
than an hour to upgrade and be back working again.
