Macbook is running with 2GB of RAM (apple preinstalled at time of purchase)
- 2Ghz core 2 duo model.

Not got Google Desktop installed. Am using Launchbar which indexes at login
but the sluggishness is pretty much constant. Some apps slow down a bit but
the main problem seems to be launching apps, the dock freezes totally when
launching an app. Sometimes it's OK when only launching 1 app but if you
launch 2 at once it always freezes for a few seconds. Never did this on 10.4
- only since the 10.5 update.

Tried this last night. Didn't make any difference.


Thanks for the info - will try and set aside a couple of hours later this
week to do the archive and reinstall.
