Am using Launchbar which indexes at login but the sluggishness is pretty much constant. Some apps slow down a bit but the main problem seems to be launching apps, the dock freezes totally when launching an app. Sometimes it's OK when only launching 1 app but if you launch 2 at once it always freezes for a few seconds. Never did this on 10.4 - only since the 10.5 update. > > Couldn't hurt to download the 10.5.5 combo updater and re-run it. > http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1055comboupdate.html > > Tried this last night. Didn't make any difference. Thanks for the info - will try and set aside a couple of hours later this week to do the archive and reinstall. -- Paul Howard tel (UK): +44 (0)1293 738158 tel (US) : +1 251 243 0058 mobile (UK): +44 (0)7958 231268 web: http://phoward.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
