All good suggestions, and taken on-board - Thanks. Two further things I have noticed with the iPhone/MobileMe email, is the lack of a spam filter, and the inability to set up mailboxes in the same way as I do in Mail on my MacBook. All emails come in a long stream and are not sorted into the groupings I use in Mail........ Or am I missing something?

My own experiences suggest that switching Location Services off has the biggest impact on battery life - you get prompted if you use an app that requires it to be on. I set Fetch New Data to off for Push and Fetch to every 30 minutes as this matches my Mac email settings but you may value Push more than myself. I didn't alter the auto screen brightness setting but did lower the normal level somewhat. My own trials with both 3G and Bluetooth ended with leaving them switched on as I couldn't see much impact on battery life - I only use a Bluetooth headset in the car. I reckon on charging the iPhone every other day unless I have watched video extensively - use BBC iPlayer a lot on the iPhone which I find excellent. I've just invested in an iLuv iMM173 bedside clock/audio unit that is an iPhone 3G certified unit so it has now become a habit to plugin my iPhone to charge nightly. Good sound, big display, two docks, etc. Worth the cost. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
