make yourself a Gmail or Yahoo account. I have had them for years and no
troubles. I would never create an email address dependent on the server. Ick.
I have had the same yahoo address for 6 years maybe plus a gmail account. I
have moved all over the world with them.

I appear to have sent myself an email offering Viagra and more. Now,
my btinternet.com address has been hacked (cloned?) before and my
understanding is that there's not a great deal I can do about it. This
is the first time however that my .mac address has been "borrowed".
Should I be overly worried? Is there anything I can do about it?
