Last Autumn I got a Kensington Slimblade Media Mouse - http://us.kensington.com/html/13881.html - as a possible alternative to the Mighty Mouse as it has an optical trackball not afflicted with the maintenance that the MM trackball requires. At the time it was on a special offer at PC World for £17 so worth a go.
The mouse works as expected other than the trackball sensitivity seems crazy no matter how you adjust it in the preferences. I've since read that quite a few 3rd party devices with optical and laser trackballs have similar problems where cursor movement lags well behind trackball movement, or is hugely accelerated, or is difficult to accurately position. Has anyone else had experiences with this mouse, or other optical/ laser trackballs, and got any tips for taming its sensitivity? Could this be why Apple hasn't put an optical trackball in the MM? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
