I fear the worst...I plugged my new series MB into the usual monitor with the Displayport adapter to VGA and nothing...the monitor works on my other half's laptop (last generation MB) fine over VGA and DVI with the right adaptors.
Tried with a different start-up disk, same result. I ran the Hardware set up test but it reported no problems. Does it test for external monitor connection, does anyone know? any tips appreciated before the dreaded trip to Apple store followed by waiting for its return.
