Hi ,
I've been happily using a G4 with Tiger . Recently bought a imac with
Leopard and transferred my Word for Mac over using firewire and my
Word files using a memory stick from my old G4.
All seemed to be Ok.. then I thought I'd be brave and start a new era
by switching to Open Office. Installed the software and began to
notice some of my Word files and some of my Acrobat pdfs had become
corrupted. Word began said it did'nt recognise them as Word files and
won't open them. Neither would Open Office
I've removed Open Office, and re installed my Office for Macs from the
original disc, but to no improvement.

Wasn't expecting things to get so flaky.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Has virus snuck in?..I don't use any
antivirus software
