Hi Virginia I've tried number of courses - online and DVDs - I think the best is O'Reilly's: http://www.oreillyschool.com/courses/htmlcss/ (Introduction to HTML and CSS). But at $298, it may be above your budget - that does though include a copy of the book! It includes step-by-step online tuition with simple exercises that you upload to their site and which are checked by a mentor who you can ask questions. Makes it really easy to follow and learn (and they have a free 7 day trial - gosh I sound like salesman!) .
