Thanks Keith... Obviously read my mind - Just ordered another couple of fast-transfer SDHC cards !
My main reason for looking for alternative 'back-up' storage is that I'm loath to risk only having the images on the cards they were taken with as I've suffered from media failure twice in the relatively recent past which led to me losing some irreplaceable images... Managed to recover some using appropriate software but very time- consuming and uncertain. In other words, I'm looking for a 'belt and braces approach' ! In other words, by using SDHC cards as "removable disks" until your return. Just a thought. Is it possible, and is it a reasonable expense?
