The "Mac Specialist" at 3COM once gave me instructions to alter the BIOS settings on a MacBook Pro to try and prove that their £3k 24port 10Gb switch wasn't faulty. I laughed at him, he swapped the unit on condition that I didn't reveal his extensive Mac knowledge to his superiors.
