We use a couple of companies for Leasing. We use AFS (Apple Financial Services) and Photolease. AFS are part of the GE group.
David is correct, Leasing is only available to companies, generally ones who have been trading for 3 years or more. If you'd like any more help and don't mind dealing with us, you can call the Brighton store and they'll be able to help further - 01273 748083. Just so you know, both AFS and Photolease don't offer any kind of support or warranty. If the kit breaks while being leased, you're responsible for the repair. We generally sell Applecare with every lease as it only makes a slight difference to the monthly/quarterly payments and it means you won't have to pay for any repairs. I hope this helps. ________________________ DARREN TERRY UK Sales Manager Cancom Ltd Apple Premium Reseller Email: [email protected] _____ From: David Lazarus [mailto:[email protected]] To: [email protected] Sent: Wed, 19 Aug 2009 13:23:33 +0100 Subject: [sussex_mug] Re: leasing I looked at that. The problem is that you need to be a business because of the VAT. It is not such a bad deal handy for cash flow. I also think that it includes on site support which makes it a much better deal. If cash is tight then it could be an option. The bit that I like is that you can buy the hardware for a token £39 at the end of the contract. Which is not that bad when you consider how long it could last. The other way of looking at it is that you are taking it out on HP and compare the total cost. Personally if you have the cash buy outright. If you need to save any money skip the Apple care and use one of the people on these forums if you need a part replaced. I had to replace a Super drive and that will cost me around £100 with installation, a lot less than the £279 that the Apple care would have cost me and that would not have covered my drive because it was out side the warranty period anyway. You could do a better deal online or with Cancom.
