Until OO 3.0 appeared I had used Neo Office as an alternative to the MS original. I'd suggest that, for those most familiar with MS Office for Windows, OO 3.0 provides an easier transition but I can't comment on charts an anti-aliasing. Of course, iWorks might well trump both in terms of attractive charts but would they survive transition back to Windows is another matter.
