Sam, Don't have Photoshop (other than an old copy of 7 that won't work with Leopard) but I'm just downloading Elements to see if it helps at all. Another oddity is that a new tiff screen shot I've just been sent looks fine in Graphic Converter (although it is only 72dpi and was saved with LZW compression) but rubbish once it's been placed in InDesign.
