My advice would be to switch to Mac regardless of what she wants to do with her PC ;) but if she bought the Huey and calibrated her monitor it would be a cheap test to see if the PC is capable of decent image editing. If it still isn't good enough with a calibrated monitor then you still have the Huey to calibrate the new Mac.
