Probably tempting fate but I'm running 5 Lacie drives varying in size from 
160GB to 1TB  on various Macs and ALL have worked perfectly since the day they 
were installed (oldest just over 3 yrs).

Maybe I've just been lucky???

The opinion on other lists is that Lacie lost the plot some time ago.
I think I settled for Western Digital as vaguely recommended. but
others here will know more...
