some people I work with have a Filemaker 7 database that they want to put on the web. Filemaker Server looks expensive and is unlikely to be paid for by the college. It would be useful to have some kind of interoperability (eg comments) but none of us are THAT web-savvy. I am stil using Filemaker 5 (!) so don't know -- how good is Filemaker 7 (or, with upgrade, 10) at outputting html or even xml that we could then work with to create fairly complex (multi-field, possibly editable or commentable) webpages? [I realise this is rubbishly vague. But a briefing would have to be a full, proper, briefing. And there's no money left in the project to pay anyone!] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
