All,

I'm continually frustrated by having only three USB sockets on the
back of my iMac. I use one for the keyboard/mouse, one for the printer
and one for a hub over the other side of the room that has a few music
devices connected. So when I want to connect anything else locally,
the printer has to be temporarily unplugged.

Now, I also feel the need to bolster up my back-up routine by using
TIme Machine. So is anybody aware of a quiet (i.e. no fan), reliable,
USB external hard disk drive that as well as sitting on my desk and
doing the back up job will also give me a few spare USB sockets?

Phil

PS. Not keen on LaCie. Had too many fail on me.
